Bon, fillino veloce per la M4 della settima settimana!
Saiki e Teruhashi sono tipo la mia best coppia della vita, honest XD love them to bits, sono così perfetti in qualsiasi salsa!

Prompt: Pirates/Mermaids AU
Fandom: The Disastrous Life of Saiki K
Pairing: Saiki/Teruhashi (anche se as usual è onesided ma we luv them this way)

Saiki didn’t want to become a pirate. In his mind he didn't, except for the fact that everyone in the ship already considered him a part of their crew.

Saiki just wanted that super important and secret book about the deepest secrets of magic all of the tales were talking about. And, to be honest, he didn’t even need it, as he was born under a very lucky star which had the power to grant him infinite and massive magic power. He was just curious about the spectacular content of that book that everyone was talking about. Finding a way to depart on a quest to seek out the magical item was simple as it was inside a dungeon craved by many pirates of that time.

There was just a little problem. The dungeon was guarded. The intelligent reader could assume that the dungeon would be guarded by a huge giant or at least a frightening ogre. However, the intelligent reader couldn’t be farther from the truth. The dungeon was guarded by a mermaid. Some of you could think that the dungeon master was very stupid to put just a mermaid as a deterrent but it was, in fact, one of the most efficient methods. Pirates, as it was well-known, were men of the sea, used to spend months and months in a ship without touching the dry land. Furthermore, mermaids were usually beautiful and alluring ladies, who loved to trap their poor victim in their charms and condemn them to their inevitable deaths.

The mermaid guarding the dungeon was an especially dangerous enemy as it was told to be the most gorgeous – and thus, dangerous – enchantress who had ever lived. There had been no man known to tales that had managed to come out unscathed by her ominous flairs. People just called her The Teruhashi, as it was told by the legends that she was one of the offsprings of the Japanese goddess of love.

Saiki, with his massive amount of magical power, however, wasn’t fazed nor scared by The Teruhashi’s threat, as he knew he was perfectly able to defeat her power with his own. As they were approaching said dungeon, after months of traveling, he was able to see her. She was sitting over a lone cliff in the middle of the sea, looking in their general direction. Upon drawing closer, they could make out her features: beautiful hair bearing the same color as the deep sea were flowing in the light wind, which, combined with the sun reflection on the water, was making them sparkle as if they were full of stars. Saiki could feel her enormous power. As it was easy for him to reject it, his companions hastily fell prey to her magic. Luckily, the mage was already prepared for that and he made sure the floor of the ship was sticky enough for their feet to remain trapped. They couldn’t move, thus they couldn't run to that vixen.

Hey, how is it possible that you’re not-“ The melodious, but still annoyed, voice of the mermaid didn’t stop Saiki the improvised pirate from entering the dungeon. Under her shocked stare, it just took a moment for him to obtain the book he was looking for. Probably who thought about setting up that whole ordeal relied too much on the power of that mermaid because there weren’t other threats saving for her. It’s not like Saiki did care about the other treasures as he wasn’t interested in material treasures.

As the mermaid was watching that pirate’s ship go back without a word, she felt her heart pounding for the first time in her long life.

“Gosh, he didn’t even spare a second look at me. Regardless, he only took a stupid book from all the treasures of the dungeon… I’m sure he did that because he wants to come back soon to see me again!”

And with that belief, the mermaid waited and waited for her beautiful pirate to come back to her.

Saiki, from his part, spent the rest of his trip back home closed in his room studying the book, deaf to the rather loud complaints of his crewmates angry that they didn’t get to see a shred of gold from the rumored dungeon of The Teruhashi.
